Patents and Proprietary Position LINC’s technology for the PTHrP-based diagnosis and treatment of fibrotic disorders of the lung and other major organs is protected by filed patent applications, as well as trade secrets which cover details of the discovery not outlined in the patents. International patents have also been filed on LINC’s core technology. Numerous patents in the pulmonay field have also been evaluated to gauge the “freedom to practice”. Although the technology appears to be unencumbered, additional evaluations will be needed from qualified patent attorneys.
